Initial idea for Statistical Studies of Peer Production (SSoPP – Surveying, analyzing and documenting peer to peer practices) was born about a year ago. Around March 2012 I contacted Michel Bauwens from P2P Foundation and asked for support, which they offered in form of providing server capacity and domain. Encouraged by the support from Bauwens and Franco Iacomella, I decided to build the platform. We decided to use WordPress as [...]

Devaamo organized again yet another awesome Hackday at New Factory, Tampere 3.11.2012. We had about 15 participants out of which youngest were 6 years old. The event was tinkering, making and hacking oriented. We had just one presentation, mine. I told about my experiments and learnings from 3D printing RaspberryPi cases. I had brought several of those prints with me. People liked a lot about the “Carrot” model, which was [...]

I’m attending Devaamo Hackday Nov 3rd 2012 at New Factory where we are dealing/hacking with RaspberryPis and Qt. One part of the tentative agenda is 3D printing. Anyway, I took the liberty and brought one of our (Want3D) Ultimaker 3D printer to home one day. [...]
